The event lasted 2.5 hours at the polling station in Middle Sackville near Silver Lake. All but 2 municipal candidates were in attendance. Candidates were directed by the hosts (Citizens Committee for Informed Elections) to prepare 4 statements: 2 minutes for an opening statement, 1 minute allowed to answer the question posed via email in advance (“What do you see as the single, biggest challenge facing the new Town of Tantramar?”) and finally 1 minute closing statements.
A question & answer period allowed constituents to address particular candidates. No questions were directed to the three Ward 2 candidates in attendance (Natalie Donaher, Wendy Epworth, Barry Hicks).
